This change uses the updated ldap library in minio/pkg (bumped
up to v3). A new config parameter is added for LDAP configuration to
specify extra user attributes to load from the LDAP server and to store
them as additional claims for the user.
A test is added in sts_handlers.go that shows how to access the LDAP
attributes as a claim.
This is in preparation for adding SSH pubkey authentication to MinIO's SFTP
integration.
Create new code paths for multiple subsystems in the code. This will
make maintaing this easier later.
Also introduce bugLogIf() for errors that should not happen in the first
place.
Allow internal types to support a `Recycler` interface, which will allow for sharing of common types across handlers.
This means that all `grid.MSS` (and similar) objects are shared across in a common pool instead of a per-handler pool.
Add internal request reuse of internal types. Add for safe (pointerless) types explicitly.
Only log params for internal types. Doing Sprint(obj) is just a bit too messy.
this helps in caching the resolved values early on, avoids
causing further resolution for individual nodes when
object layer comes online.

This PR is an attempt to make this configurable
as not all situations have same level of tolerable
delta, i.e disks are replaced days apart or even

There is also a possibility that nodes have drifted
in time, when NTP is not configured on the system.
Since JWT tokens remain valid for up to 15 minutes, we
don't have to regenerate tokens for every call.

Reduces internode call allocations a great deal.
Some applications albeit poorly written rather than using headObject
rely on listObjects to check for existence of object, this unusual
request always has prefix=(to actual object) and max-keys=1
handle this situation specially such that we can avoid readdir()
on the top level parent to avoid sorting and skipping, ensuring
that such type of listObjects() always behaves similar to a
headObject() call.
This is to ensure that there are no projects
that try to import `minio/minio/pkg` into
their own repo. Any such common packages should
go to `https://github.com/minio/pkg`
only newly replaced drives get the new `format.json`,
this avoids disks reloading their in-memory reference
format, ensures that drives are online without
reloading the in-memory reference format.
keeping reference format in-tact means UUIDs
never change once they are formatted.
Also, revamp the way ListBuckets work make few portions
of the healing logic parallel
- walk objects for healing disks in parallel
- collect the list of buckets in parallel across drives
- provide consistent view for listBuckets()
Add context to all (non-trivial) calls to the storage layer.
Contexts are propagated through the REST client.
- `context.TODO()` is left in place for the places where it needs to be added to the caller.
- `endWalkCh` could probably be removed from the walkers, but no changes so far.
The "dangerous" part is that now a caller disconnecting *will* propagate down, so a
"delete" operation will now be interrupted. In some cases we might want to disconnect
this functionality so the operation completes if it has started, leaving the system in a cleaner state.
Without instantiating a new rest client we can
have a recursive error which can lead to
healthcheck returning always offline, this can
prematurely take the servers offline.
- reduce locker timeout for early transaction lock
for more eagerness to timeout
- reduce leader lock timeout to range from 30sec to 1minute
- add additional log message during bootstrap phase
- total number of S3 API calls per server
- maximum wait duration for any S3 API call
This implementation is primarily meant for situations
where HDDs are not capable enough to handle the incoming
workload and there is no way to throttle the client.
This feature allows MinIO server to throttle itself
such that we do not overwhelm the HDDs.
We had messy cyclical dependency problem with `mc`
due to dependencies in pkg/console, moved the pkg/console
to minio for more control and also to avoid any further
cyclical dependencies of `mc` clobbering up the
dependencies on server.
